Martyna Pastuszka – musical entrepreneur, conductor, soloist, chamber musician, founder, and artistic director of {oh!}Orkiestra, with which she regularly performs. She collaborates as concertmaster with Raphael Pichon’s Pygmalion Ensemble and Teodor Currentzis’ Utopia Orchestra. She has performed with esteemed ensembles as concertmaster, soloist, or chamber musician, including Le Concert de la Loge, Concerto Copenhagen, Hofkapelle München, Collegium Vocale Gent, Le Parlement de Musique, and Aukso.
In 2022, as the artistic director-in-residence of the Misteria Paschalia festival in Krakow, she programmed the entire edition and premiered Jacob Schuback’s oratorio Die Jünger zu Emaus. Under her leadership, {oh!}Orchestra also premieres operas such as Hasse’s Arminio, Vinci’s Gismondo, re di Polonia, and Sarri’s Didone abbandonata. In 2022, {oh!}Orkiestra, as the resident of the Bayreuth Baroque festival, staged Vinci’s Alessandro nell’Indie, and in 2023, premiered Antonio Caldara’s opera Venceslao. The {oh!}Orkiestra and {oh!}Trio, under her direction, record for labels such as Aparte, Sony, NIFC, Muso, CPO, Dux, and Erato.
Martyna has been nominated for Opus Klassik awards in the Conductor of the Year category, Paszporty Polityki, Fryderyki, and has been awarded the 2023 Koryfeusz in the Personality of the Year category. In 2021, TVP Kultura produced a documentary directed by Grzegorz Jankowski titled „I am not a maestro,” highlighting the work and relationships of the {oh!}Orkiestra musicians and its leader.
Since 2007, Martyna Pastuszka has been teaching a class in historical violin at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowic
